Who Ienaga Mugi is
Ienaga Mugi is one of the earlier members of NIJISANJI and debuted in March 2018, according to Mogura VR. Her name is written 家長むぎ in Japanese. Some English-language sources spell the surname “Ienaga,” which is the form this page uses.
She is known for a calm style of streaming centered on studying together with viewers, and she has also written essays for a web magazine. Her birthday is listed as November 7 in the VTuber birthday calendar compiled by VTuber Ninki Lab.
Channel and style
Her main series is “Study with me,” a long YouTube stream in which she studies while viewers study or work alongside her. On May 30, 2026, she announced that the series had a sponsor for June 2026: Nestopi Co., Ltd., which promoted its lo-fi game Chill with You: Lo-Fi Story. Mogura VR reported that this was the first time a NIJISANJI VTuber’s study stream received a sponsor. The stream format stayed the same, with no advertising during the study sessions and a sponsor credit shown in the on-screen captions.
In November 2025 she started her first essay series, “Shiranai Komichi” (知らない小道, roughly “Unknown Paths”), on the KADOKAWA web magazine Mekurimekuru. The first installment, about an izakaya, was published at the start of the series, and new installments were planned for around the 14th of each month, with illustrations by Hashya.
How to follow and what to expect
Streams are announced on her X account and published on her YouTube channel. Study streams are long and quiet, so they suit viewers who want company while working, and the essays offer a written side of her activity. Viewers should confirm the current schedule on the official channel.
