Status as of October 28, 2026. Based on RIOT MUSIC’s official releases (published through PR TIMES) and the reports listed in Sources.

At a glance

  • What it is: a virtual music production and music agency that works with virtual artists, VSingers and VTubers. Its stated philosophy is “creating emotions that change lives.”
  • Parent company: a subsidiary of Brave group, the metaverse and IP company that also runs the esports-focused VTuber project VSPO!.
  • History: the RIOT MUSIC production launched in March 2020. In July 2022 Brave group spun its business division off as SuperYellow Inc., which changed its name to RIOT MUSIC Inc. on June 1, 2023.
  • Leadership: Koki Takeda became representative director on June 1, 2023, succeeding Keito Noguchi, who stayed on as a director.
  • Main projects: the VSinger label Mugensho Record (無原唱レコード), the VTuber support project RIONECTION, and the VRChat support service AdHoc.

History and structure

RIOT MUSIC began in March 2020 as a virtual music production. According to its June 2023 announcement, Brave group established SuperYellow Inc. in July 2022 by splitting off its business division, and the company officially adopted the RIOT MUSIC name from June 1, 2023, with an initial capital of 10 million yen. At that point Koki Takeda, previously a director and executive producer, took over as representative director from Keito Noguchi, who had held the post while serving as Brave group’s CEO.

The official website organizes the company into an artist section, the RIONECTION VTuber support project, the AdHoc service and an audition page for new virtual artists. The website is mostly in Japanese, with English only in some navigation labels.

Mugensho Record

Mugensho Record is RIOT MUSIC’s VSinger label. In the label’s own wording, the songs of many “raw gem” artists with countless possibilities come together to form a vocal, and its stated goal is to become the origin of virtual music. On May 27, 2026 RIOT MUSIC announced three new artists, DENSHINBASHIRA-CHAN (電信柱ちゃん), MIYAJIMA LECIEL (宮島ルシェル) and KASAYA KUGURU (傘屋くぐる), who held their first streams on their own YouTube channels on June 1, 2026 at 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00 JST respectively.

The label’s festival, Mugensho Record Fest 2026 “RE;GAIN,” took place on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at The Garden Hall in Meguro, Tokyo, with doors at 17:00 and the show at 18:00 JST. The announced lineup had nine artists (Iori Matsunaga, Kyoko Asakura, Mio Sumera, Tomoyo Itsuki, Shirasu Shirase, Ranze Tokiniwa, Izumi Minami, Shuna and Mement Vanitas), with live band performances (names as romanized in the English summary of the release; official spellings may differ). Tickets were sold through ZAIKO: on-site seats at 22,000 yen (premium S, by lottery) and 8,800 yen (A), and streaming tickets at 17,600 yen (premium) and 5,500 yen (A), with archive viewing until August 9, 2026 at 23:59. The release called it the label’s first major live event since its rebranding and its first festival since Blitz Wing Fes 2024.

RIONECTION: support for independent VTubers

RIONECTION is a support project for VTubers. RIOT MUSIC announced on September 2, 2025 that two individual VTubers, Inukai and Nirakame, had joined, bringing the project to 29 members. The listed support covers creative production (song production, 3D model development, in-house studio recording, live production and merchandise), growth support (social media strategy and data analysis) and business support (corporate tie-ups and overseas expansion). Members may also perform at the project’s regular event, PLUG IN!!

AdHoc and the move into VRChat

On April 3, 2026, RIOT MUSIC announced AdHoc, a service to support expressive activity in VRChat for individuals and companies, including virtual creators and artists. The first phase consists of a permanent VRChat world and a Discord community. The world, built with the XR studio MIGIRI, has a Live Area with three stages for shows and talk events, a Talk Area for one-on-one sessions and fan meetings, and an automatic exit timer for managing events. Under a blanket license agreement with JASRAC and NexTone, cover singing of managed songs is possible in official instances. The press release does not mention pricing.

By September 2026, according to KAI-YOU, the AdHoc world had about 50,000 cumulative visitors and its group more than 3,700 members. That experience led to the festival-scale event ESPERA -AdHoc Live Festival 2026- on November 20 to 22, which RIOT MUSIC produces together with Culture Entertainment. For practical advice on joining that kind of event from abroad, see our VRChat concert guide.

Notes for overseas readers

  • Official announcements, artist pages and ticketing are in Japanese. Ticket sales for its live events have used ZAIKO.
  • Streaming tickets with an archive, as used for RE;GAIN and ESPERA, are the simplest way to follow its events from abroad.
  • The RIONECTION description lists overseas expansion among its business support, but the sources we reviewed give no details of an English-language program.

What to watch next

  • The ESPERA timetable and the full roster of performers, which the organizers say will follow.
  • New debuts on Mugensho Record and new RIONECTION members.
  • Further developments for AdHoc, which RIOT MUSIC describes as a phased service.
