Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how World Virtual Research (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit worldvirtualresearch.com or contact us through this site.

Who we are

This site is operated by PHG Co., Ltd. (株式会社PHG), a company in Japan that runs the talent and creator agency Studio PHG. PHG Co., Ltd. is the controller of the personal information described below. Contact: info@worldvirtualresearch.com.

What we collect and why

  • Messages and requests you send us. When you use our contact, takedown/correction, article/information submission or partnership forms, we receive the details you enter (such as your name, email address, the URL you refer to, and your message). We use them only to read, answer and handle your request, and to keep a record of it. Please do not send us sensitive personal information.
  • Newsletter subscription. If you subscribe, we collect your email address. We send a confirmation email first, and we use your address only to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • Technical and usage data. Our web server and security tools log technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. We also use Google Search Console to see how our pages perform in Google Search; it reports aggregated search data and does not identify individual visitors. If we add an analytics tool such as Google Analytics, it may use cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic. We will update this policy first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.

Cookies

Visitors can read this site without creating an account. The site sets only the cookies needed for it to work, such as those used by logged-in site administrators. Comments are turned off. Embedded content or links to other sites (for example YouTube, X or online shops) may set their own cookies under their own policies.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links. If you click one, the merchant or affiliate network may place cookies on your device to record the referral. We do not receive your personal information from them in a form that identifies you. See our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (such as our web hosting and email delivery providers), who may process it on our behalf, and when required by law. Our servers and our company are located in Japan, so information you send is transferred to and stored in Japan.

How long we keep it

  • Contact and partnership messages: up to 12 months after we finish handling them.
  • Takedown, correction and rights requests: up to 3 years, so that we can show how a request was handled.
  • Article and information submissions: until we finish the review, and up to 12 months after that.
  • Newsletter email addresses: until you unsubscribe. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted within 30 days. After you unsubscribe, we keep only a minimal record (your address and the unsubscribe date) for up to 12 months so that we do not email you again.
  • Server logs: up to 90 days, for security and operations.
  • Analytics data: if we add Google Analytics, we plan to keep its data for no longer than 14 months, and we will update this policy before doing so.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, and to correct, delete, or stop using it, to object to our processing, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and, where they apply, the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act. To make a request, email info@worldvirtualresearch.com. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
