The virtual music duo HIMEHINA will play the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on Tuesday, July 13, 2027, their first one-man show at the hall. The concert, billed provisionally as HIMEHINA LIVE 2027 “BUDOKAN,” was revealed on October 4, 2026, at the final night of their world tour. A priority ticket lottery for fan club members and the general public closed on October 18, and results were scheduled for October 23, so the next question for fans is how the remaining tickets will be sold.

At a glance

  • Event: HIMEHINA LIVE 2027 “BUDOKAN (tentative title)”
  • Date: Tuesday, July 13, 2027. Doors at 16:30 and show at 17:30 JST (both planned). That is 07:30 and 08:30 UTC, or roughly 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. US Eastern time.
  • Venue: Nippon Budokan, Chiyoda, Tokyo
  • Tickets: general reserved seating only, 11,000 yen including tax; up to four tickets per application
  • Priority lottery: open to fan club members and the general public, closed October 18, 2026 at 23:59 JST; results due October 23
  • Organizer: Studio LaRa, with DISK GARAGE handling operations and support

What was announced

According to KAI-YOU and MoguLive, both published on October 5, the Budokan date was announced on the second day of “HIMEHINA WORLD Tour 2026 GRAND FINALE 2Days,” held October 3 and 4 at SGC HALL ARIAKE in Tokyo. The group is a virtual artist unit made up of Hime Tanaka and Hina Suzuki, who sing and dance.

The ticketing details published so far are fairly simple. Every seat is general reserved, there is no age restriction, and children aged six and over need their own ticket. MoguLive adds that buyers of general reserved seats will later be offered upgrade tickets, in two types (one for fan club members and one for the general public), with details to be posted on a dedicated site.

Background

HIMEHINA began performing as a duo in May 2018, and their first one-man show took place in September 2019 at EX THEATER Roppongi in Tokyo. KAI-YOU reports that in August 2023, at a show in Omiya, they said they would reduce variety-style content and concentrate on music, setting a goal of a Budokan one-man show within five years. Announcing the hall in October 2026 means they got there in roughly four years.

The same article lists a steady climb in venue size: a two-day run at Toyosu PIT and a Fukuoka-Osaka-Nagoya tour in 2024, and a YouTube channel that passed one million subscribers in December 2024. As of October 2026 it had about 1.13 million subscribers and more than 700 million total views, per KAI-YOU.

The tour that led to the announcement, “LIFETIME is BUBBLIN,” started in November 2025 and totaled 13 shows: seven Japanese cities plus Taipei, Seoul and San Jose. A Brave group press release from March 2026 explains that the series was renamed from an Asia tour to a world tour once the Seoul and San Jose dates were added. The San Jose show was co-organized with OffKai Expo, and Taipei, Aichi and Hokkaido had sold out by that point.

Why it matters

Realsound’s weekly virtual news roundup of October 14 describes HIMEHINA’s date as the fifth Budokan event involving VTubers, following Hoshimachi Suisei and one other virtual singer on the music side and ChroNoiR (Kuzuha and Kanae) on the event side. The same roundup says NIJISANJI’s Fuwa Minato has a solo music live at the Budokan on March 3, 2027. Together they suggest the venue is becoming a recurring milestone for virtual performers, though each case differs in format and organizer.

What overseas fans can check

For readers outside Japan, the sources checked do not describe overseas ticket sales, a stream or a screening of the Budokan show. With a start time in the early morning for the Americas and the late morning for Europe, people planning a trip should wait for the official ticket page and the dedicated upgrade-ticket site rather than rely on secondhand listings.

What we don’t know yet

  • Whether the show will be streamed or screened for audiences abroad, and at what price.
  • The final title of the concert, since the current name is marked as tentative.
  • How remaining tickets will be sold after the priority lottery, and whether overseas residents can apply.
