What was announced
The final was a two-day event. It included the main tournament, a matching live event, an event for invited overseas players and an exhibition about the history of the game. The exhibition showed panels with handwritten comments from featured talents and physical cards from the game’s second year. The tournament opened with encouragement messages from the duo 狐族密会, according to the report.
The top eight players were こまげん, かいたいか, HOPE, 藍色, プチリュウ, アヤキ, ケロリン and LgN/もけ. Each player’s deck is linked on the report page through Decklog, a deck-sharing site hosted by Bushiroad. The report does not include match-by-match results or scores. A separate deck column published the same day introduces decks that took part in the final.
The 2026-27 season
The report states that the 26-27 season will include the first World Championship of the game. It lists the World Grand Prix 26-27 Tokyo for November 23 and the World Grand Prix 26-27 Aichi for February 21, 2027. The page links to a separate event page for the Extreamer Cup 26-27, but the report does not summarize it. We have not yet seen how players qualify for the World Championship or when and where it will be held.
Background for overseas players
The game has an English Edition with its own official site. In a producer’s letter posted on that site on May 15, 2026, the producer wrote that the user base was about three times the size at the July 2024 launch and that monthly shop tournaments at participating stores had grown to 400. The letter also said that plans announced at an English-language conference ran through October 2026 and that further initiatives, including a large-scale tournament separate from the current Bloom Cup DX Challenge Series, were planned for 2027. The Japanese report notes that the final included an event for invited overseas players.
What it means for overseas viewers
Fans who follow the game from abroad can read the Japanese report for the Decklog links and see which decks reached the top eight. Players who want to attend in person should check the registration conditions on the official event pages, because we have not confirmed whether the World Grand Prix events are open to overseas entrants or how entry is handled. November 23 is a public holiday in Japan; the report does not give start times.
What we don’t know yet
- How the World Championship qualification works, and its date and venue.
- Whether overseas players can enter the World Grand Prix events.
- Whether the matches of the World Grand Prix will be streamed in English.
