How to Buy and Watch a Japanese VTuber Concert Stream: SPWN and Streaming+ Explained

Many Japanese VTuber concerts sell a streaming ticket alongside venue tickets, and for fans abroad that ticket is usually the only realistic way in. Two services handle most of these sales: SPWN and Streaming+ (run by the ticket company eplus). This guide explains what each one needs from you, how the buying and viewing steps work according to the official Streaming+ guide and earlier SPWN walkthroughs, and which details to check on the event page before you pay. It uses the upcoming Hakos Baelz concert “REGALIA” as a worked example.

Before you buy: four things to check on the event page

  • Is there an overseas page or price? Some organizers sell overseas tickets on a separate English page. For the Baelz concert, COVER says the overseas streaming ticket is on a separate English SPWN event page.
  • The sales window and the archive deadline. The Baelz release lists ticket sales until January 8, 2027 at 20:00 JST and archive viewing until 23:59 JST that day, with access ending at that moment even mid-viewing.
  • The fees. The release lists ¥6,800 with tax plus a ¥220 handling fee.
  • The start time in your time zone. Japan Standard Time is UTC+9 all year, so 18:30 JST is 09:30 UTC. Our Japan-time guide shows how to convert it.

Buying and watching on Streaming+

The official Streaming+ English user guide says to start by playing its test video to confirm that your device and connection can handle the stream. Tickets are bought on the eplus English site (ib.eplus.jp), where customers abroad also buy, and the guide tells you to confirm that the service is available in your country, region and time zone. Make sure that email from eplus.co.jp reaches you, because the confirmation arrives by email.

After payment is confirmed you receive an email containing the streaming URL, and a reminder email arrives one day before the event. You can also find the URL on the “My Orders” page on ib.eplus.jp. The guide says you can watch on a different device from the one you used to buy the ticket, and that you should open the URL before the start time. If an archive is offered, it can be watched repeatedly during the viewing period using the same URL, but some events have no archive or only a short one.

On devices, the guide lists iOS 11.0 or later with the latest Safari, Android 5.0 or later with the latest Chrome, and Windows 10 or later or macOS 10.9 or later with the latest Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. It says cookies must be enabled, that private browsing may stop some functions from working, and that sending the stream to a TV is not currently guaranteed. eplus is not responsible for problems caused by your own device or connection.

Buying and watching on SPWN

We could not read SPWN’s current official instructions in full. Its English help center lists articles including “What is PAW?”, “How to payment when purchasing tickets?” and an SPWN user’s guide, so check those for current payment rules. For the general flow, we rely on hololive-focused walkthroughs written for earlier concerts in 2023, which describe the following steps and may differ from the site today.

  • Create an account with an email address or sign in with an existing social account, and verify it through the confirmation email.
  • Switch the site to English with the language drop-down in the top-right menu.
  • Open the concert’s event page, scroll to the streaming tickets, follow the steps and enter your name in the final step.
  • Review your cart and check out with a credit or debit card. The walkthroughs warn that cart items expire after a limited time, so be ready to pay.
  • Return to SPWN at the start time; the live stream appears on the event page, and the archive is available there until its deadline.

Those older guides also mention a ¥220 service fee at purchase, which matches the ¥220 handling fee in the Baelz release. Prices and payment methods can change per event, so treat the event page as final.

Worked example: Hakos Baelz “REGALIA”

The COVER release for the December 1, 2026 concert lists the streaming ticket as ¥6,800 including tax plus the ¥220 handling fee, sold through SPWN and Streaming+ from September 28, 2026 at 21:00 JST through January 8, 2027. The concert starts at 18:30 JST, and the stream opens at 18:00 JST. For the full event details, see our news article on the announcement. If you want the general overview of concert viewing from abroad, our guide to watching VTuber concerts from overseas covers tickets, archives and timing.

Common problems

  • Missing confirmation email. Check spam and make sure the sender domain is allowed.
  • Archive deadline surprises. The Baelz release says access ends at the deadline even if you are mid-viewing.
  • Wrong event page. Some events have several similarly named pages for different regions or stages, so confirm the event name and date before paying.
  • Stream trouble. Test on the same device and browser you will use on the day, and avoid private browsing.

FAQ

Can I buy a streaming ticket from outside Japan? Streaming+ says customers abroad buy on its English site; SPWN has an English interface and, for some events, a dedicated overseas event page. Whether your country is supported is shown on each service’s guide, so test before buying.

Which payment methods work? Earlier SPWN walkthroughs mention credit and debit cards only. We did not read the Streaming+ payment page, so check it for your region.

Is the archive guaranteed? No. Streaming+ says some events have no archive or a short viewing period, so read the event page.
