Finana Ryugu

Character
Finana’s official introduction describes a mermaid who spends her time with tropical fish in a sea of coral reefs, with a heart as clear and calm as the water around her. The agency’s category label for her is “Tropical Mermaid”. Her NIJISANJI profile gives her fans the collective name Ryuguards, and a community profile site lists a fish emoji as her fan mark. A fan-run encyclopedia lists her image colour as a soft mint green and credits the illustrator Gilse with her character design; treat those two details as fan-compiled rather than agency-stated.
Off the official page, her streaming persona is known for blunt, cheeky humour and loud reactions in games, which fan wikis often contrast with her gentle mermaid setting. She speaks mainly English, with some Japanese and Hmong mentioned on community profile sites, which is one reason she reads as a distinctly international presence even inside a Japanese agency.
What the content looks like
Finana streams on YouTube and Twitch. Community profiles list free talk, gaming, singing and ASMR as her main formats, and her own posts mention regular study streams, where viewers keep her company while she works on her studies. In July 2025 she wrote that she was working towards a business degree; since this is a personal detail she shared herself, we mention it only as context for her study streams.
Because most of her streams are in English, they are timed for audiences in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific rather than only Japan. When a schedule says, for example, 17:00 on the US Pacific coast, that is 09:00 or 10:00 the next morning in Japan, depending on daylight saving time. Always check the stream’s own countdown page, which converts to your local time.
Milestones
- 2020 to early 2021, background: NIJISANJI opened its English YouTube channel in January 2020. An earlier English-speaking branch was restructured, English-language auditions ran in December 2020, and NIJISANJI EN was then relaunched with a new first wave.
- May 12, 2021: NIJISANJI announced that LazuLight, three English-speaking Livers (the agency’s term for its talents), began activity that day with new social media and YouTube channels. Finana was one of them, alongside Elira Pendora and Pomu Rainpuff.
- May 16, 2021: the group’s debut special, “LIVE from the Moon”, aired on the NIJISANJI English channel at 11:00 JST (2:00 GMT, or the evening of May 15 on the US Pacific coast). The debut single “Diamond City Lights” followed, with a music video premiere at 13:00 JST. Because the accounts and the special fall on different days, sources give either date as her debut.
- January 2022: her original song “TSUNAMI” was released, according to a fan encyclopedia; streaming services list it as a 2022 single.
- January 2023: NIJISANJI EN’s first 3D reveal programme featured LazuLight. Finana’s reveal stream was announced for 17:00 on January 20 (US Pacific time), which is the morning of January 21 in Japan. She later thanked viewers for her 3D debut on X.
- January 2024: fellow LazuLight member Pomu Rainpuff announced her graduation on January 6, with her final stream on January 20.
- April 14, 2024: the “Colors” AR live concert, first planned for early 2023 and cancelled, was held with members of several NIJISANJI EN waves, and Finana was named in the original lineup.
Music
LazuLight’s debut single “Diamond City Lights” was composed by the singer Mafumafu, with lyrics by Nelson Babin-Coy and a story by Hoshikawa Sara, and is available on streaming platforms. Finana’s own releases listed on Apple Music and TuneCore include the single “TSUNAMI” (2022), “UNSEISO” (2024) and, most recently, “Want Some More” on February 8, 2026, which features Elira Pendora, Enna Alouette, Maria Marionette and Meloco Kyoran. She also appears on an English-language version of “Virtual Strike” from the 2021 compilation Palette 003.
2026 activity
The streaming-service listings show “Want Some More” as her newest release, issued in February 2026. She has continued regular streaming on YouTube, and subscriber counters on community sites place her channel in the mid-hundreds of thousands (one profile site showed about 474,000 YouTube subscribers and 27,400 Twitch followers without giving a date, so treat those as approximate). Her NIJISANJI talent page is still live, and the agency store continues to sell birthday goods for her; the 2025 set went on sale from June 21, 2025. For the latest schedule, follow her official X account and YouTube channel.
Collaborations and related talents
Her closest connections are her LazuLight partners Elira Pendora and Pomu Rainpuff; Pomu graduated in January 2024. Elira Pendora joins Finana on the “Want Some More” release. The wider NIJISANJI EN roster, including Enna Alouette and Maria Marionette, also appears on that track.
