hololive FANCLUB From Overseas: Regions, Payment, Shipping and Ticket Presales

Most overseas fans support Japanese VTubers through YouTube. The agency-run fan clubs are a separate world: they are Japanese membership sites with their own accounts, yen pricing, ticket presales and shipping rules. This guide walks through the official hololive FANCLUB from the point of view of someone living outside Japan: where it works, how you can pay, what you get, and where it stops being practical. If you are looking for Super Chat and YouTube memberships, see our Super Chat vs. Memberships guide. The video below is a hololive branding film, included for context only.

At a glance

  • What it is: the official fan club of hololive production, run on its own site and launched on October 15, 2025.
  • Price: 6,600 yen per year including tax, with no admission fee. Payment-method fees may apply on top.
  • Term: from the day your registration or payment completes until the end of the same month the following year.
  • You need: a hololive account, and a place of residence in a supported region.
  • Overseas: allowed, but some features are limited for overseas members, and it is not offered in areas such as the EU and the UK for now.

Step 1: check whether your region is supported

The fan club publishes a list of regions where the service can be used. The list I read includes, among many others, the United States, Canada, India, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. I did not see EU member states or the United Kingdom on it, which matches the FAQ statement that those areas are not available for now and that coverage will expand as preparations are completed. The page carries no date, so check it again before you pay. If you see a message that the service is unavailable from your current region, the FAQ points you to this same list.

If you are in an unsupported region, the official pages offer no workaround, so wait for the list to expand rather than registering with details that do not match where you live.

Step 2: understand what you are paying for

  • Ticket presale: members can enter presale lotteries for live shows and events. These are lotteries, not guaranteed purchases, and some events are excluded.
  • Membership goods: new members receive an NFC membership card that opens your profile page when a smartphone is tapped on it; continuing members receive a different original item each year.
  • Birthday card: an illustrated card mailed to your home in your birth month, with a choice of designs.
  • Monthly wallpapers: exclusive PC and smartphone wallpapers, viewable and downloadable for three months after release.
  • Profile page: a personal page for recording your fan activity.

The plan page notes that some features may be restricted for overseas users, and that service content may change without notice.

Step 3: payment methods, currency and fees

Payments are handled by a Japanese processing service called PERFECT, so your statement will show that name rather than hololive. The payment page lists:

  • Credit card with automatic renewal: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and Diners Club. In the first year it is charged at application; later years are charged 30 days before expiry.
  • Online convenience-store payment and Pay-easy bank payment: due within three days of application, with a handling fee of 418 yen (up to 9,999 yen), 528 yen (10,000 to 29,999 yen) or 693 yen (30,000 yen and above), tax included.
  • Jamm, Merpay and PayPay: charged at application with no fee listed.

The pages quote prices in yen and never state a settlement currency, so assume yen. The hololive announcement adds that the fee may change with exchange rates. What your own bank charges for a foreign-currency card payment is between you and your card issuer, so check their conversion terms. The convenience-store, Pay-easy and the payment apps are built around Japanese services; the pages do not say whether they work from abroad, so for most overseas members a credit card is the realistic route. That last point is my inference, not an official statement.

Card payments require 3D Secure 2.0, and cards that do not support it cannot be used. A 1 yen authorization check may appear during verification; the FAQ says this is only a verification and is not actually charged. Auto-renewal can fail depending on the card status, and the FAQ says the renewal period cannot be extended once it passes, after which the membership is cancelled automatically. To move off auto-renewal, delete the card details at least 31 days before expiry.

Step 4: shipping and mail benefits from abroad

  • Benefits cannot be sent to overseas addresses directly. You need to register a Japanese address that can receive items, such as one provided by a forwarding service. The announcement says gifts go overseas through a separate forwarding service.
  • Delivery is generally by mail and no tracking numbers are provided.
  • Birthday cards are not sent if your account is set to an overseas residence or the registered address has problems.
  • If you need to change an address from outside Japan, you must contact support.

Step 5: ticket presales from overseas

At launch the announcement said overseas applications for advance ticketing were not accepted until further notice. That has since moved on for at least some events. For hololive RECORDS MUSIC STAGE 2027 at K-Arena Yokohama on January 9 and 10, 2027, the official fan club notice says overseas members apply through ZAIKO, while members in Japan use Lawson Ticket (smartphone only).

  • Application window: October 20, 2026 22:00 to October 31, 2026 23:59 JST. That final deadline is 14:59 UTC, or 07:59 in US Pacific time and 10:59 in US Eastern time on October 31.
  • Join by: you must have joined by the same deadline and be able to log in to the members page. Existing members were advised to test their login around October 23.
  • Limits: up to 2 tickets per show, companions can be non-members, and applications need your membership number and date of birth.
  • Results and payment confirmation: November 6 to 9, 2026. Prices run from 9,000 to 15,000 yen including tax depending on the seat type.

Our MUSIC STAGE 2027 ticket and streaming page covers the event itself, and our guide to Japanese ticket pages explains how lotteries and resale windows work.

Is it worth it from overseas?

It depends on what you want. If you plan to enter presale lotteries for Japanese concerts and can pay by card, the fan club is a direct route. If you mainly want wallpapers and a profile page, they are digital and work without a Japanese address, though the physical goods and cards need a forwarding address. If you only want to support a talent you watch on YouTube, YouTube channel memberships and Super Chat are simpler and show amounts in your local equivalent (YouTube Help). The membership gives no stream access: hololive streams are free on YouTube.

FAQ

Can I join from outside Japan? Yes, if your region is on the supported list and you can pass the card checks. Some features are limited for overseas users.

Is the site in English? The site has a language selector, and the English wording for the residence choice was corrected in January 2026 to read Japan and Outside Japan. I could not confirm which pages are fully translated, and the plan and FAQ pages I read were in Japanese.

I chose an overseas residence and could not continue registration. A January 21, 2026 notice says a bug blocking some overseas registrants between October 15, 2025 and January 15, 2026 has been fixed.

Can I cancel? Cancelling membership cannot be undone once submitted, and membership numbers do not carry over.

What we could not verify

  • Whether overseas-issued cards of every brand are accepted; the pages list brands but do not discuss overseas use.
  • The exact set of benefits restricted for overseas members.
  • Whether the supported-region list has changed since I read it.
