What was announced
Day 1 consists of an opening keynote, sessions, the XR Kaigi Award and a networking party. Days 2 and 3 have an exhibition area and further sessions. The organizers say the conference has been held every year since 2019. The theme this year is “Virtual,” and the audience is described as people working in XR, the metaverse and VTubing. The official site lists VRChat, Roblox, smart glasses and VTuber among its keywords, but the site does not confirm these as session topics, and a full program has not been shown on the pages we reviewed.
Tickets are sold on Peatix. All tickets other than the student ticket include the networking party. The student ticket covers the sessions and the exhibition but not the networking party, and a student ID must be shown at the venue. The special ticket adds an online seminar by Shun Kubota, editor-in-chief of MoguLive, titled “The virtual field in 2026 and the outlook from 2027.” It runs on November 24 from 18:00 to 20:00 JST (09:00 to 11:00 UTC), and an archive will be available. Buyers can also send questions to Kubota by email.
Young creator booths
A separate call is open for young creators to exhibit for free on December 1 (10:00 to 18:00) and December 2 (10:00 to 17:00) at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho Building, 4F, inside Tokyo Port City Takeshiba. Applicants can be current students or creators aged 25 or younger as of December 1, 2026, and working adults are also eligible, as individuals or teams. Each booth measures 2 m by 2 m by 2.1 m. Exhibitors bring their own headsets, PCs and displays and pay their own travel costs.
The deadline is November 6 at 23:59 JST, and results will be emailed on November 11. Only a few exhibitors will be accepted. Unfinished works and works shown elsewhere may be submitted.
What it means for overseas viewers
The event is held in Tokyo, and the pages we reviewed are in Japanese. Overseas fans who plan to visit Japan could attend, but language support has not been described, and the sessions may be held in Japanese. The sponsor list includes Holo Lab, GeekOut and Canon at the platinum level, which gives a sense of the industry players involved. The online seminar is archived, but whether it will be offered in English is not stated.
What we don’t know yet
- The full session program and speakers
- Whether any sessions will be streamed or translated
