Character and official profile

NIJISANJI EN’s official profile describes Luca as a mafia boss from the past with a short temper. He is strong and loves a fight, whether to show off or to protect those who are weak. The profile page lists his fan name, Lucubs, and links to his YouTube channel and X account. It does not list a height or a debut date, so we take the debut date from the separate group announcement described below.

Debut with Luxiem

NIJISANJI EN announced the group Luxiem on December 16, 2021 and began activities the next day, December 17, 2021, as the project’s fourth VTuber group. Five Livers debuted at once, each with a different concept: Ike Eveland, a novelist; Mysta Rias, a detective; Vox Akuma, a demon; Luca Kaneshiro, a mafia boss; and Shu Yamino, a sorcerer.

Each member’s debut livestream was relayed during a special programme called “Party time with Luxiem” on the NIJISANJI English YouTube channel. It was hosted by Elira Pendora and Oliver Evans and aired on December 19, 2021 at 4 p.m. PST, which was 9 a.m. JST on December 20. The group’s debut single, “Hope in the dark,” was produced by ChibaNyan, and its music video premiered the same day at 8 p.m. PST.

NIJISANJI EN itself launched in May 2021 with the aim of reaching overseas fans, so Luxiem arrived about seven months into the project. Our reading is limited to what the official announcements state; they do not give viewership figures for the debut.
