How overseas fans can watch VTuber concerts: tickets, streaming and archives
Last reviewed: October 22, 2026
Big VTuber concerts are not always free YouTube streams. Many are ticketed live events, and overseas fans can usually watch through paid streaming tickets or, at some shows, buy venue tickets. The details differ from event to event, so this guide uses two official hololive production event announcements as examples and explains what to check on any official event page.
The short version
- Start from the official event page. Platforms, prices and deadlines are set per event.
- Streaming tickets have a sales window and an archive deadline. After the archive period ends, the replay is removed.
- Merchandise has its own order period, usually shorter than the ticket sales window.
- Times are given in a specific time zone (for example JST or PST), so convert them before you plan.
Example 1: Mori Calliope’s “Grimoire” concert
According to the official event page for Mori Calliope‘s second solo concert, the show was held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Venue tickets were sold first-come, first-served through Ticketmaster, with an all-standing general admission area, a seated balcony and a separate ticket system fee. Viewers elsewhere could buy streaming tickets through SPWN or Streaming+ (e+); the sales window ran from November 22, 2024 to March 26, 2025, and the archive stayed available until March 26, 2025 at 10:59 PM PST. The page did not state regional availability or currency for either platform, which is a good reminder to check the payment screen before you commit.
Example 2: Shirakami Fubuki’s “ANTHEM” concert
The official announcement for Shirakami Fubuki’s first solo concert at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama lists separate routes for overseas fans. Venue tickets for applicants outside Japan were sold through ZAIKO, at 12,000 yen (S seat), 9,500 yen (A seat) and 8,300 yen (B seat), tax included. A streaming ticket cost 6,500 yen and was sold through SPWN or ZAIKO from November 4, 2024 (9:00 PM JST) to March 13, 2025 (8:00 PM JST). The archive was available until March 13, 2025 at 11:59 PM JST and was removed after that time, even for viewers partway through a replay.
A checklist for any event
- Find the ticket types. Venue, streaming, and sometimes a separate overseas route.
- Note the platform. SPWN, Streaming+ (e+), ZAIKO and Ticketmaster all appear in the examples above; which one applies can depend on where you live.
- Write down three deadlines: ticket sales close, show time, and the end of the archive.
- Convert times. See our JST time zone guide.
- Check fees. A ticket system fee may be charged separately, and currency or payment-method support can vary.
- Check merchandise. Commemorative goods usually have a fixed order period and a separate overseas store link. For general ordering advice, read our merch buying guide.
A time-zone example
Official pages often quote one time zone only. Shirakami Fubuki’s concert started at 6:30 PM JST on February 13, 2025, which is 9:30 AM UTC, 1:30 AM Pacific Standard Time and 4:30 AM Eastern Standard Time on the same date. A viewer on the US West Coast would therefore either stay up very late or rely on the archive, which is exactly why the archive deadline matters. Our JST time zone guide walks through the conversion step by step.
Other ways to see a VTuber event
- Delayed cinema screenings. hololive 7th fes. “Ridin’ on Dream” is returning to cinemas in Hong Kong and Macau on October 31 and November 1, 2026 as recorded screenings, sold per stage through Emperor Cinemas; the announcement does not state the runtime or the subtitle language, so check the cinema listing. See our report, hololive 7th fes. returns to cinemas in Hong Kong and Macau.
- In-person fan events. hololive Meet is heading to DreamHack Stockholm on November 27–29, 2026, which is a convention-style event rather than a concert, with its own ticketing. See our report, hololive Meet comes to DreamHack Stockholm.
The same advice applies to both: read the official announcement for sales dates, ticket types and what is actually being shown, and do not assume it is a live broadcast.
Common questions
Can I watch the replay later? Only if the event offers an archive, and only until its stated deadline. Both examples above set a firm end time.
Is a streaming ticket the same as a membership? No. A streaming ticket is a purchase for one event; a channel membership is a recurring subscription. Our Super Chat vs membership guide explains the difference.
Will the rules be the same next time? Not necessarily. Platforms, prices and deadlines were set separately for each event, so read the official page every time.
