ANYCOLOR, the company that operates the virtual talent group NIJISANJI, and the toy maker Takara Tomy have announced a trading card game built around the group’s Livers. NIJISANJI 7 Colors Card Game, nicknamed “Nijinana” (にじなな) in Japan, goes on sale on Saturday, December 26, 2026. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on November 27. The announcement was published on October 7, 2026, and it leaves one question open for fans outside Japan: whether, and how, the game will be sold abroad.

At a glance

  • Release date: Saturday, December 26, 2026 (Japan).
  • Pre-orders: from Friday, November 27, 2026, at Takara Tomy Mall and some online shops and stores, according to Takara Tomy’s press release.
  • Made by: ANYCOLOR and Takara Tomy; the stated target age is 15 and up.
  • Starter decks: four decks at 1,650 yen each (tax included), themed on Tsukino Mito, Kuzuha, Sasaki Saki and Kagami Hayato.
  • Booster pack: “COLORS IGNITION” (虹の幕開け), nine cards per pack at 440 yen, or 5,280 yen for a box of 12 packs.
  • Card sleeves: four designs at 1,210 yen each, 64 sleeves per pack.
  • Launch event: “Nijinana Start Ceremony” on January 16 and 17, 2027, at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
  • Overseas release: not mentioned in the announcement.

What was announced

According to ANYCOLOR’s news post, the game is co-developed with Takara Tomy and is built around one simple idea: players gather cards in seven colors to “draw a rainbow.” The release describes this as a rule that is easy to grasp for people who have never played a trading card game, which fits the choice of a seven-color theme tied to NIJISANJI’s rainbow branding.

The first wave has three product types. The four starter decks are pre-built and each is themed on one Liver: Tsukino Mito, Kuzuha, Sasaki Saki and Kagami Hayato. Each deck is said to have its own abilities, so the decks play differently, and each also includes other NIJISANJI Livers connected to the theme Liver. The first booster pack, “COLORS IGNITION,” contains nine randomly assorted cards. ANYCOLOR says packs include Livers who do not appear in the starter decks and some rare cards, aimed at players who want to build their own decks or collect favorites. Takara Tomy’s release adds that some cards are specially processed. The sleeves are sold separately, in two card-back designs plus Tsukino Mito and Kenmochi Toya versions.

The gaming outlet 4Gamer reported the same prices and release date on October 8. Note that its article names a different Liver for one starter deck than the official posts do, so we have followed ANYCOLOR and Takara Tomy for all names here.

Where it will be sold

The sales channels listed by ANYCOLOR are the NIJISANJI Official Store (shop.nijisanji.jp), Takara Tomy Mall, toy specialty stores across Japan, the toy sections of department stores and mass retailers, and other online stores. Takara Tomy’s own release also lists trading card specialty shops. All of these are Japanese channels. For comparison, when NIJISANJI released its “NUIMODE” mascot charms in May 2026, the official announcement named a separate NIJISANJI EN Official Store for overseas buyers. No equivalent overseas store is named for the card game.

The launch event

A launch event called “Nijinana Start Ceremony” will take place at Sunshine City, Ikebukuro, on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, 2027. It will include gameplay lessons and a battle event. ANYCOLOR says further details will follow, so there is no information yet on tickets, entry rules or whether Livers will appear.

Background

NIJISANJI already sells a wide range of physical products, from character goods to voice packs and seasonal merchandise, such as the Haunted School collection we covered earlier this month. A card game is a different kind of product, because it needs a rules system, a continuing release schedule and a place to play. The announced launch event and the stated plan for starter decks and boosters suggest ANYCOLOR and Takara Tomy intend this to be an ongoing line rather than a one-off item, but the announcement itself does not state a long-term release plan, so that is our reading only. For ANYCOLOR’s business context, see our summary of its first-quarter results.

What we don’t know yet

  • Whether the game will be sold or shipped outside Japan, and through which stores.
  • Whether English or other language versions of the cards and rules will exist.
  • The total number of cards in the first set, the full card list and the rarity breakdown.
  • How many cards each starter deck contains.
  • Details of pre-order lotteries or purchase limits, if any.
  • Event details for the Nijinana Start Ceremony beyond the dates, venue and general content.

If you plan to buy, the safest step is to follow the official product site and the game’s official X account until overseas information appears, and to treat any reseller listing before December 26 with caution.
